Questions people ask

Do people need to give an email address to sign up?

No. People type a name, or sign up anonymously if you allow it. We never ask for a phone number, and an email address is only used if someone asks us to email them their own links. We send that one message and don't keep the address.

Do I need an account to make a sign-up sheet?

No. You create the sheet, get a link, and share it. Your device remembers that you are the organizer, and you also get a private organizer link to save. You can add an organizer password if you want to manage the sheet from another device.

How do people change or cancel their sign-up?

Everyone who signs up gets a private link to their own entry, so they can edit or remove it from any device. The organizer can always make changes too.

How do reminders work without email?

Two ways, and neither needs an email address. Guests can tap "Add to calendar" to save the event (or their own slot) to Google, Outlook or Apple Calendar, with reminders from their own phone. Or they can turn on browser notifications for a reminder the day before (and two hours before), plus any update the organizer posts.

Is SignupGadget free?

Yes. Every feature is free: unlimited slots, waitlists, Secret Santa exclusions, raffles, calendar files and CSV export.
