Free Date Poll: Find a Day That Works
Stop scrolling back through the group chat to count who said Saturday. Offer a few dates, let everyone vote, and pick the winner.
+ Create a Date PollHow it works
- Add your date options. Pick the dates you could do, with times if they matter.
- Share one link. Text it, email it or drop it in the group chat.
- Everyone votes. Yes, If need be or No for each option โ no account, no email.
- Pick the winner. The most popular date is highlighted. Tap "Pick this date" and everyone can add it to their calendar.
Why a poll beats the group chat
Ask "what works for everyone?" in a group chat and you get a dozen half-answers spread over two days: "I could do the 14th maybe", "not Sunday", a thumbs-up on the wrong message. Someone ends up counting by hand and still misses a reply.
A date poll puts every answer in one grid. You can see at a glance that the 14th works for seven people and only works "if need be" for two, while the 21st loses three people entirely. And because each person answers every option, you learn about the dates nobody mentioned.
What you get
- Three answers, not two. "If need be" separates the dates people love from the ones they'd put up with.
- Dates and times. Offer the same day twice at different times to settle both questions at once.
- Most popular, highlighted. The leading option is marked so you don't have to count.
- Pick it and close it. Choosing a date closes voting, sets the event date and adds an "Add to calendar" button for everyone.
- Changeable answers. Plans change; everyone gets a private link to update their own answers.
- Privacy options. Hide names so people only see totals, or add a password so only your group can open the poll.
Tips for a poll people actually answer
- Offer three to six options. Two feels like a trap; ten makes people give up halfway.
- Include the time when it matters (a dinner) and leave it off when it doesn't (a day trip).
- Set "Voting closes" a few days out and say so in the description, so people answer now instead of later.
- Vote yourself first. An empty poll gets fewer answers than one that's already moving.
- Once you pick a date, post an update with the details so the poll page becomes the event page.

Frequently asked questions
Do people need an account or email to vote?
No. They open your link, type a name and tap Yes, If need be or No for each date. Each person also gets a private link to change their answers later.
Can I ask about times as well as dates?
Yes. Add the same date more than once with different start times โ for example Saturday at 10 AM and Saturday at 2 PM โ and people vote on each one.
How do I choose the final date?
The date with the most yes votes is marked "Most popular". Tap "Pick this date" on any option: voting closes, the date becomes the event date, and everyone can add it to their calendar.
What does "If need be" mean?
It means "I can make it work, but it isn't ideal." It counts as half a yes when we highlight the most popular option, so you can see the difference between a date everyone loves and one people can tolerate.
Can I keep the votes private?
Turn on "hide names" and other people see the totals but not who answered what. You still see everything as the organizer.
Ready to find a date?
It takes about a minute. No account, no email โ for you or anyone who votes.
