Whether it's a seventh birthday at the trampoline park or a fortieth in the backyard, the planning questions are the same: how many people are actually coming, and how much pizza, cake and party favors do you need? A pile of group-text replies rarely adds up to a clear answer.
This template gives you an RSVP page with Going, Maybe and Can't make it, up to three plus-ones per guest for siblings or partners, and a message box for allergy notes. Add the date, time and place, share the link or print the QR code on your invitations, and watch the headcount add up. Guests don't need an account or email.

Set a deadline that works backward from the party
An RSVP date gives people a reason to answer now instead of "later". A week before the party is a common choice for kids' parties. For a restaurant, venue or caterer, use the date they need a final count by, minus a day or two of breathing room.
Set a sign-up deadline when you create the page, and repeat the date in your invitation text. A couple of days before it, post a short update on the event page and resend the link to anyone who hasn't answered. "Maybe" replies are worth a personal nudge — a quick "will you be able to make it?" usually turns them into a yes or a no.
Kids' party details parents will ask about
- Who's invited: say whether siblings and parents are welcome. If they aren't, turn plus-ones off and say so kindly in the description.
- Drop-off or stay: for younger kids, parents usually stay; for older kids, it's often drop-off. Spell it out so families can plan their afternoon.
- Kids vs. adults: the attending total includes plus-ones. If a venue charges per child or you're ordering by the slice, ask families to write "2 adults, 2 kids" in their message.
- Allergies: ask parents to mention allergies in their RSVP message, and plan at least one treat every child can eat. For a serious allergy, a quick call with the parent about the menu is worth it.
- Favors: make two or three more goody bags than your count, for siblings who tag along.
- Gifts: if you'd rather skip presents or try a book swap, say so in the description so nobody has to guess.
Adult and milestone birthdays
For a dinner out, give the restaurant your attending total plus any "maybes" you expect to become yeses, and say in the description whether guests are paying their own way. The RSVP page doesn't handle money.
For a surprise party, give the page a low-key title like "Saturday get-together" and add an event password that you share only with guests. Anyone who opens the link without the password sees only the title and date, so a forwarded message won't spoil the surprise. Set the "arrive by" time half an hour before the guest of honor is due.

How do plus-ones work?
When plus-ones are on, guests choose how many people they're bringing, up to the limit you set (anywhere from 1 to 10). The attending total includes everyone's plus-ones, so it's the number to plan food around.
Can guests change their RSVP?
Yes. Every guest receives a private link to their own reply, so a "maybe" can become a "yes" or a "no" from any device, and the number of plus-ones can change if plans do.
Can I keep the guest list private?
Turn on "hide names" and only you, as the organizer, will see who replied and what they wrote in their messages.
Can I put the RSVP link on paper invitations?
Yes. Every event has a printable QR code. Add it to printed invitations so parents can scan it and reply in a few seconds.
What does the expected-guests number do?
It's optional. If you enter a number — say, the 15 kids included in a party package — the page shows the attending count next to it, so you can tell at a glance how close you are.
